Fender/guard covers

TopGear's fender/guard covers are designed to protect a vehicle's paintwork from scratch and dent damage when work is being performed in the engine bay during servicing or repair. The company's products are differentiated in several ways:

Autoline fender/guard cover

The front of the cover is produced from a super heavyweight reinforced fabric with either matt or gloss finish. This fabric will not support fire—it is fire retardant. The black polar fleece on the rear of the cover is scratch resistant and also fire retardant. The sand roll, which anchors the cover to the top of the fender/guard, is filled with dried sand and sealed in a plastic casing as a protective measure against the sand working its way out. Furthermore, there are no attaching magnets which can lead to scratching. A spacious tool holder is incorporated to hold in place the tools in use on the job.

Proline fender/guard cover

Proline fender/guard covers have all the features of the Autoline product but include a wheel-arch cutout. A 10mm layer of foam is sandwiched between the PVC and the polar fleece lining. The purpose of this barrier is to absorb the impact of any dropped tools or parts.

Front panel

The front of the fender/guard cover can be easily wiped clean with regular cleaning agents. The panel can be screen printed to 80% of the panel face with a corporate logo or message. Polypropylene loops are attached to the lower corners to allow covers to be hung on hooks or pegs for storage.

Back panel

The fabric used on the back of the mechanics guard covers is produced in Germany specifically for the theatre industry (for on-stage drapery). We have chosen this fabric because it is the best fabric available to protect the paintwork of a fender/guard. It is soft enough to be used as a car-polishing cloth.
